Grand Opening of Universal Supplies Corp.
“The region is certainly fortunate to have Jimmy Yang,” said Fredericksburg Regional Alliance President Gene Bailey. “He was very successful in his business operations in China before coming to the region and now we are lucky to have him located here.”Bailey, along with other county and regional officials joined Yang on Aug. 18 to celebrate the grand opening of Universal supplies—an extension of Universal Stones, which Yang opened in 2004 as the region’s first Chinese-run international business.
“Give us three years, and with strong government support and our hard working employees, we will create a very successful business here once again,” Yang said, “ We are very confident about our expansion.”
Universal Supplies, which is located in Stafford Industrial Park near Yang’s other company, focused on selling cabinets as well as construction materials and household appliances. Yang said the store began as a distribution-only business, however now offers installation services as well.
“We started getting demands to install and we never refuse an offer.” Yang said.
